Vaccine Sales, Uptake Tanking as Public Wants Legal Immunity for Manufacturers Ended
The failed pandemic response from government, heavy-handed Covid shot mandates across the board and a sustained, decades-long regulatory and scientific idleness to properly study vaccine safety has come home to roast in spectacular fashion.
Across all metrics vaccines are losing big appearing to have dropped out of favor with the general public. While corporate media is busy blaming Kennedy, their investigations are missing all the points that matter.
Vaccine slump risks a downward financial spiral writes a recent Reuters headline pointing blame in every direction except the accurate ones.
The mixture of authoritarian COVID-19-era government mandates, relentless media pressure and liability protection created a highly artificial (and anti-human) window in time for vaccine sales to become a booming financial sector during the pandemic.
That time has passed.
We’ve now entered a sharp decline and reversal of those trends. Major players like Pfizer, GSK, Sanofi, and Merck reported significant drops in 2025. Merck’s Gardasil HPV vaccine saw worldwide sales plummet 39%.
The company responded by laying off 147 workers at its North Carolina plant in early 2026, citing a “worldwide reduction in demand.”
The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (NCVIA), which established the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) was forced upon an unsuspecting population (credit to Barbara Loe Fisher and the few other parents fighting against what the 1986 Act became at the time) who trusted vaccination programs, the media and had little ability for rapid knowledge dissemination and public mobilization along facts and reality.
Post Covid, the playing field has been equalized as the public and social momentum is aligning beyond party lines to demand an end to the legal immunity long-enjoyed by vaccine-makers.
A recent poll commissioned by The Brownstone Institute and the Health Freedom Defense Fund found, among other highly relevant points, that 68.5% of Republicans and 51.9% of Democrats want NCVIA’s vaccine maker liability shield removed.
And 68.9% of Republicans and 52.5% of Democrats want the COVID vaccine liability shield granted by the PREP Act removed.
Another poll showed a resounding 73% average oppose the blanket immunity enjoyed by Big Pharma shot makers across all political spectrums.
The drop in vaccine uptake and universal public reception to end the artificial legal protections enjoyed by Big Pharma isn’t an RFK Jr-specific phenomena, it’s an idea whose time has come.
In California schools, where funding is tied to student vaccine uptake, a loss of more than $2.2 million in state funding over two years was observed because students did not have all the shots required by state law.
Schools in 72 districts lost some funding because more than 10% of kindergartners or seventh grade students were not fully vaccinated in 2023 and 2024…before RFK Jr. began leading HHS.
JAMA reported that between 2023 and 2025, rates of hepatitis B vaccination within 30 days after birth dropped more than 10 percentage points…before ACIP voted to changed the recommendation.
CDC’s upcoming ACIP meeting will be focusing on workgroups and discussions on COVID-19 vaccine injuries (currently processed through the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP)) including possible recommendation votes to suggest paths forward or to commission further studies to address purposeful gaps in knowledge to understand the full extend of American harms from the shots.
ACIP alone can’t fix the problem of both COVID vaccine injuries and the broke CICP.
Author Wayne Rhode writes:
“The CICP is an administrative process. No judicial review or judicial appeal. Petitioners can appeal their denial back to the same black hole that issued the initial denial. Any type of reform of this process would have to come from Congress.”
With the announcement of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research head Dr. Vinay Prasad stepping down next month, the CDC’s principal deputy director Dr. Ralph Abraham abruptly exiting after less than 3 months in the position and a corporate media onslaught telling the story of a sidelined MAHA downgraded to reforming American’s food system, ACIP’s posture will be under a microscope as a litmus test for a greater MAHA pulse check as midterms approach.
Regardless of politics, the social fabric appears changed forever as the ridiculous idea of given pharmaceutical companies immunity has gone mainstream as evidenced by lawyer Aaron Siri’s appearance with Joe Rogan to describe the issue to millions of listeners.
